Once I sat still my story flowed from me, painfully. In prayer and meditation I found the courage to share the things that literally tried to choke the life out of me. Once I got it down, I decided to frame it as a lesson learned style playbook for anyone who might find themselves in a scary and difficult situation like I did.
I never imagined that it would, but it took me quite some time to give the final sign off for the release of this memoir. I simply did not want to sit in that pain again. But I did. I did because I knew that it meant that someone else could be free like me. Someone reading this story would find the courage to make what could be the most difficult decision of their lives. That makes it all worth it.
I dedicated this book to all those who have supported me on my journey of becoming who I am today. I especially wanted to thank each one of my children for their patience and dedication.
